About The Position

This is a part-time, benefits-eligible registered nursing opportunity working 48 hours per pay period on 12-hour day shifts. The RN will work in the MedSurg Tele Float Pool between Scripps Mercy Hospitals in San Diego and Chula Vista, providing essential nursing support to Stepdown and floating to other units as needed. Nurses benefit from flexibility, teamwork, and leadership support while working across units.

The RN takes primary responsibility for patient care in a family-centered environment. The role involves assessing, planning, and implementing care; evaluating progress toward outcomes; and collaborating with the care team to support optimal results. Eligible part-time new hires may receive up to $2,000 in hiring incentives, subject to the stated eligibility criteria.

Requirements

• Registered Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active California RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• At least 2 years of recent adult MedSurg Tele RN experience.
• Willingness to float to other units.
• Ability to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and positive behaviors.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• NIHSS certification.
