About The Position

The RN is accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessing patients and making clinical decisions regarding nursing care, ensuring care is provided safely and competently, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating care for groups of patients. This role requires patient care and is based onsite at 267 Charles Street. The position is full time, scheduled for 36 hours per week, with a rotating day/night shift and weekend and holiday work.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; experience cannot be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
Clinical nursing experience of 0–1 year required.
Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing and patient care and treatment.
Knowledge of care requirements for the age groups receiving care.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
Modify patient treatment plans based on patients’ responses and conditions.
Interpret plans of medical care, assess patients, and make clinical decisions regarding nursing care.
Provide safe, competent, and individualized nursing care and evaluate care for groups of patients.
