About The Position
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in a medical-surgical telemetry setting. The RN delivers compassionate, individualized care, makes critical assessments, performs skilled procedures, and implements patient care plans. The role works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced environment. The RN follows department and hospital policies and procedures, including safety, risk management, and regulatory standards, and stays current with relevant developments and requirements. The position includes medication administration and documentation, comprehensive patient assessment and care planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions, and preparation for discharge and coordination of post-discharge needs. A sign-on bonus is available.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse license for Washington (WA), upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (CPR), upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Follow department and hospital policies and procedures, including safety, risk management, and regulatory standards.
- Keep abreast of trends, developments, and regulatory requirements within the designated scope of responsibility.
- Administer, oversee, and document medications as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy.
- Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental, and spiritual needs.
- Gather data relevant to patient care.
- Plan care based on needs identified during initial and ongoing assessments.
- Provide holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing care within the scope of practice.
- Implement appropriate patient interventions and evaluate outcomes.
- Prepare patients for discharge and assist with coordinating post-discharge needs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.
