About The Position
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting. The RN delivers individualized, comprehensive nursing care by assessing patient needs, performing skilled procedures, implementing and evaluating care plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal outcomes and recovery. The role includes preparing patients for discharge and helping coordinate post-discharge needs. The RN is expected to bring strong assessment and critical-thinking skills, a patient-first mindset, urgency, and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse license in Washington State, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification, upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- One year of related work experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Follow department and hospital policies and procedures, including safety, risk management, and regulatory standards, and stay current on relevant trends, developments, and regulatory requirements.
- Administer, oversee, and document medications as ordered by healthcare practitioners and in accordance with hospital policy.
- Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental, and spiritual needs, and gather relevant care data.
- Plan and provide holistic, comprehensive, professional nursing care within the scope of practice.
- Implement appropriate patient interventions and evaluate outcomes.
- Prepare patients for discharge and assist in coordinating post-discharge needs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.
