About The Position

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff at various levels, and coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
Facility-specific BLS certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
Facility-specific Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Acute care facility experience.

Responsibilities

Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
Develop a plan prescribing interventions to attain outcomes.
Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and use strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes and identify outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
Provide learning opportunities and health information to patients, family members, and team members.
Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
