About The Position

Join MultiCare's hospital-based nursing team as a staff RN and provide specialized nursing care using a multidisciplinary approach. The role supports MultiCare's goal of developing a best-in-class nursing organization, where nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly, receive professional support, and understand the future of nursing at MultiCare. This position is based at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hub serving Puyallup and East Pierce County. The hospital includes a Family Birth Center, Level III Trauma and Neonatal ICUs, a Level I Trauma Rehabilitation Center, a Children's Therapy Unit, and a 24-hour Emergency Department. The position is 0.75 FTE, with 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS Certification required.
ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
Certification in a specialty area preferred.
One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Apply nursing education and experience to deliver care using the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience while reducing costs.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
