About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff RN to join its hospital-based team. The role uses specialized nursing training and knowledge to deliver patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate with colleagues, develop professionally, and contribute to the future of nursing at MultiCare. The position is at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving Puyallup and East Pierce County. The role is 0.75 FTE, with 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS Certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.
• Certification in a specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Apply nursing education and experience to deliver care using the nursing process and following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
