About The Position
We are seeking an experienced RN MDS Coordinator to join our team! The RN MDS Coordinator will lead the MDS process for our skilled nursing facility ensuring accurate and timely MDS assessments, Care Plans, ICD-10 coding, GG documentation, and Medicare PDPM reimbursement in accordance with state and federal regulations. This position coordinates care plan conferences, collaborates with nursing, therapy, billing, residents, and families, and oversees required documentation and Physician Certifications. The RN MDS Coordinator will also monitor Quality Indicators, participate in QAPI initiatives, maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements, and provide ongoing education and guidance to staff.
Requirements
- Current RN license in Florida
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Long-term care experience
- At least two years of MDS/Care Plan experience
- Strong knowledge of MDS
- Strong knowledge of PDPM
- Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
