The nurse may serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, while providing support to help ensure safe, reliable care and address care or service concerns. Practice must comply with the Nurse Practice Act and applicable administrative rules, as well as the professional nursing standards and ethics described by the American Nurses Association.
