RN, LPN, or Certified Medical Assistant
About The Position

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), our integrated healthcare model brings together medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and care coordination services to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team in our Leon and Lamoni locations. This position plays a vital role in supporting providers, coordinating patient care, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Requirements
- Current Iowa RN license, LPN license, or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Knowledge of nursing care practices and regulations established by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Computer literacy and ability to work within electronic health record systems.
Nice To Haves
- Previous clinical experience preferred; two years of nursing experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Welcome, room, and prepare patients for provider visits in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Obtain and accurately document patient information including chief complaints, allergies, pain assessments, vital signs, and weight.
- Assist providers during patient visits and communicate patient concerns, needs, or status changes appropriately.
- Provide patient education and distribute applicable educational materials based on patient needs and learning considerations.
- Explain laboratory and diagnostic testing procedures, including preparation instructions.
- Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice and according to provider orders or RN delegation.
- Utilize safe clinical practices and infection control procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, quality patient care.
- Support Infinity Health’s mission, values, and standards of behavior through daily interactions with patients and coworkers.
