About The Position
Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking an RN Labor & Delivery for a travel/contract position in Brattleboro, VT. This role is for a full-time, temporary contract position lasting 13 weeks. The unit is a hospital Birthing Center, specifically an LDRP specialty. The RN will be responsible for assessing health status, establishing nursing diagnoses, planning and implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating patient responses. The unit utilizes single room maternity care and incorporates Orem's theory of self-care and family-centered care. Cesarean births are performed and recovered in the Birthing Center. The patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum obstetrical patients, clean female surgical cases, newborn stabilization, normal newborn care, and pediatric patients during the perinatal period. Nursing personnel may also provide support for therapeutic abortions on other units when staffing permits.
Requirements
- RN License for VT or Compact - Required
- BLS Certifications from AHA - Required
- AFM, NRP and STABLE Certifications - Required (May be obtained upon offer)
- 1+ years of RN experience - Required
- 1+ years of current RN experience with Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Nursing - Required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with C-Sections, epidurals, electronic charting, venipuncture proficiency - Highly Preferred
- Travel experience - Highly preferred
