About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, evaluation, and treatment with a primary goal of achieving wellness and recovery.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Must have a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Must have a current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintain credentials throughout employment.
  • Must have a current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and maintain credential throughout employment if performing circulating or recovery room for C-section, as determined by the Department Director.
  • Must have a current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification and maintain credential throughout employment if caring for Pediatrics.
  • Must have a current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and maintain credential throughout employment on the Family Care Unit.
  • Nurses who work in Labor and Delivery must complete the Intermediate Electronic Fetal monitoring class within the first year after completion of orientation.
  • Labor nurses must complete the Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring Class within three (3) years of completion of labor orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice.
  • Provides education to patients according to their needs.
  • Transcribes, utilizes, and implements protocols and physician orders.
  • Coordinates healthcare team and delegates appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned
