About The Position
This role involves providing nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit. The nurse will attend to patients in active labor, manage epidurals, and provide postpartum care.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Valid BLS and NRP certifications.
- Fetal monitoring certification (AWHONN or Relia module).
- Experience with EPIC Stork and GE Centricity systems.
- Competency in using Pyxis medication dispensing system.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients during active labor and delivery.
- Manage anesthesia through epidurals.
- Conduct cervical exams and fetal monitoring.
- Administer medications, including Pitocin and magnesium.
- Participate in post-partum care and couplet care.
- Utilize electronic medical record systems and equipment effectively.
