About The Position
Labor and Delivery Nurse responsible for providing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit. The role involves working in a unit with 14 labor beds, 2 operating rooms, 6 recovery bays, and 8 antepartum beds, alongside a team comprising charge nurses, RNs, and CSTs.
Requirements
- NRP certification
- Experience in labor management
- BLS certification
- Intermittent EFM
Responsibilities
- Provide care for laboring patients with a ratio of 1:2.
- Manage antepartum patients with a ratio of 1:4.
- Assist in vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other procedures.
- Administer and manage medications such as Magnesium and Pitocin drips.
