Recruiter: Colleen Steinhauser | [email protected] Neuro Pre- and Post-Operating Room (Neuro Perioperative Services) is a newly established department designed to provide exceptional care for adult patients before and after neurological procedures. Combining Pre-Operative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) services, this innovative team creates a seamless patient experience throughout the surgical journey while offering caregivers the opportunity to help shape the future of the department. With a highly engaged leadership team, shared governance model and strong focus on professional growth, caregivers have the opportunity to make an immediate impact, contribute ideas and help establish best practices within a growing specialty area. Nurses in this department play a critical role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care while supporting patients and families during some of their most important moments. As part of the Neuro Perioperative team, nurses care for a diverse neurological patient population with varying levels of acuity—from same-day surgical patients to those requiring inpatient recovery or transfer directly to the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Team members receive specialized education and support to develop advanced skills needed to care for high-acuity neurological patients. Pediatric neurology patients are also supported within the department, with dedicated pediatric caregivers providing specialized care.
