Caregivers on our H80 Internal Medicine unit provide care to a wide variety of patients, with medical diagnoses including congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, pneumonia, diabetes, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleed, myocardial infarction and angina. Caregivers are supported by clinical instructors and clinical nurse specialists who provide ongoing education and expertise. Age-specific and cardiac dysthythmia/EKG interpretation training is integrated into annual staff competency requirements. A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend| various shifts.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- One year of current Acute Care RN experience OR military RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
