About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients. The role demonstrates competency in delivering care primarily to adults. The job description incorporates essential functions adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. Other duties may be assigned. This is an onsite position at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The position is listed at 0.9 FTE.

Requirements

At least 2 years of nursing experience.
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing, sufficient to be eligible for Registered Nurse licensure.
Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.
If working in Critical Care areas, American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within one year of hire.
Any non-BSN nurse with less than one year of licensed registered nurse experience at hire must enroll in a BSN or higher nursing degree program. Acceptance into a program is expected within 15 months of hire; the degree must be completed within 5 years of enrollment, or within 6 years for an MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing program.

Nice To Haves

Experience and/or training in critical care areas is preferred.
American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is highly preferred for individuals who regularly float to the Obstetrics department.
