About The Position

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a compassionate and reliable Progressive Care RN to care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessments. The RN makes clinical assessments and manages treatment autonomously while working collaboratively with the care team to provide excellent patient care.

The role includes collecting comprehensive patient health data, advocating for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team, using clinical judgment to deliver care safely and effectively, monitoring critical vital signs to enable intervention in life-threatening situations, and educating patients and families about medications, procedures, and treatments while supporting them throughout their stay.

Requirements

• Florida RN license and/or an approved multistate RN license. Compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days after relocation.
• BLS-AHA Provider-issued card within 30 days of start.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
• BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Use clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient care safely and effectively.
• Monitor critical vital signs to enable intervention in life-threatening situations.
• Educate patients about medications, procedures, and treatments, and support patients and their families throughout their stay.
