About The Position

Special Touch Home Care, a leader in in-home caregiver services for over 40 years, is seeking a part-time RN Training Instructor. This role is responsible for teaching the approved Personal Care Aide (PCA) and Home Health Aide (HHA) training curriculum at our training school in Gravesend, Brooklyn. In addition to teaching, the instructor will conduct educational in-services for PCAs and HHAs, and administer HHA/PCA competency evaluations. All training activities must comply with applicable regulations and company policies. The company is dedicated to providing high-quality services and helping clients live comfortably and independently in their homes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• New York State licensed Registered Nurse, in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN providing direct patient care at a CHHA, LHCSA, or Hospice Program
• Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Provide related instruction and supervise students.
• Proctor and grade tests.
• Document students’ progress and complete all required forms and reports.
• Prepare and submit a course of study, including program objectives, student performance objectives, and lesson plans.
• Conduct educational in-services for Personal Care Aides and Home Health Aides.
• Administer HHA/PCA competency evaluations.
• Perform other duties as requested by the director, program coordinator, and company management.
