About The Position

This state of the art 16-bed hospitalist intermediate care unit specializes in providing comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care to adults presenting with a wide variety of medical diagnoses, complex comorbidities or hemodynamic instability requiring increased support. This is a unique opportunity for nurses to be part of creating and shaping a new space. This care area bridges the gap between intensive and general care, serving patients that may step down from ICUs or need higher levels of care during their hospital stay. Patient populations include those with acute respiratory failure, sepsis, or severe multi-organ dysfunction. This brand new unit will offer nurses a plethora of learning opportunities and is committed to providing patients and families the highest level of evidence-based care. Nurses on on this unit excel in interdisciplinary communication and collaboration, ensuring smooth, safe transitions between levels of care; particularly for patients stepping down from critical care units to our intermediate care environment.
