About The Position

The Infusion Clinical Nurse provides professional nursing care under the ANA scope of practice, using the nursing process and patient- and family-centered care principles. Under the direct supervision of the nursing leader and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment to assess and implement treatment plans. The RN assesses and monitors patients, detects potential complications, and plans and takes appropriate action to prevent physiological complications associated with health problems or medical treatment.

The position is based at Dearborn Hospital in the Infusion department. It is part-time, with day-shift hours listed as 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; weekend frequency is variable.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s degree (A.D.N.) or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of acute care RN experience.
• State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification.
• Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification within 1 year of employment.
• If not minimum BSN-prepared, a new graduate or nurse with less than 1 year of experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 1 year of licensure and complete it within 5 years.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.N., M.S.N., or DNP/PhD).
• Infusion and/or chemotherapy experience.
