About The Position

Helms Home Care is seeking registered nurses to provide compassionate, personalized infusion therapy nursing services to patients in their homes. The agency provides in-home infusion care to patients of all ages across several states, including Kentucky. This is a PRN position serving the Covington, Kentucky area, with an expectation of approximately two visits per week. Compensation is $30.00–$50.00 per hour. The role includes mileage reimbursement, supplies for basic lab draws and infusion therapy, multiple visits to choose from, access to scheduling and visit-note technology, a Simple IRA with a 3% company match, and opportunities for advancement and health benefits.

Requirements

Hold a current Registered Nurse license.
Have at least 1 year of experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care.
Be competent in the nursing duties described in the posting.
Have reliable transportation.
Have access to a printer, scanner, or fax machine.
Be a licensed driver with valid automobile insurance.
Expect to make approximately two visits per week.

Responsibilities

Provide catheter access and care, including peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, and PICC/central lines, according to patient needs.
Take vital signs and perform assessments.
Administer medications, including antibiotics, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty medications.
Perform blood draws.
Educate patients on self-administration of medication.
Complete visit notes using electronic charting and submit them promptly.
Communicate promptly with scheduling personnel.
