About The Position

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level, using the principles and practices of the nursing process. The nurse delivers safe and effective care and collaborates with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

This position is with the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA), in MedSurg 1 at KMC. It is a regular employee role scheduled for 36 hours per week. The posting advertises a $30,000 sign-on bonus for experienced new hires.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
