About The Position

Join the close-knit ICU team at Piedmont Walton and provide care to a wide range of adult patients in an 8-bed intensive care unit. Nurses manage complex needs including mechanical ventilation, advanced airways, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drips, and sedation. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 based on acuity. The team emphasizes clinical excellence, critical thinking, prioritization, teamwork, hourly rounding, bedside shift reporting, professionalism, and collaboration. The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse works within organizational policies and procedures, demonstrates professional growth and accountability, maintains standards of practice, and coordinates assigned staff’s patient-care activities to provide quality nursing care.

Requirements

Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
No experience required; new graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
Current Georgia Registered Nurse license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Advanced certification in the specialty, if applicable.
