About The Position

Join the ICU team at Piedmont Walton, caring for a wide range of adult patients in an 8-bed intensive care unit. Nurses manage complex needs including mechanical ventilation, advanced airways, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drips, and sedation. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 based on acuity. The team emphasizes clinical excellence, critical thinking, prioritization, teamwork, hourly rounding, bedside shift reporting, professionalism, and collaboration. The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle by using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse works within organizational policies and procedures and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse maintains standards of practice and coordinates assigned staff’s patient-care activities to provide quality nursing care.

Requirements

Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
Current Georgia Registered Nurse license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
No experience is required; new graduates of a nursing program are eligible.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
For PRN positions, one year in a hospital setting preferred.
Advanced certification in the field of specialty, if applicable.
