About The Position

The RN will provide direct nursing care in the Surgical ICU at Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital, a 148-bed community-based hospital. The ICU cares for patients with cardiac conditions, insulin drips, respiratory and neurological issues, kidney disease, and patients requiring intubation, TEE, chest tube insertion, and central line placement. The nurse will interact with patients and families throughout the care journey, help enhance their experience, and provide healthcare education as needed.

This role is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program. The schedule requires two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week, for 36 hours of work weekly. The position receives pay for 44 hours and full-time status and benefits. Shifts rotate between days and nights: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross, presented upon hire or within the first year of employment.
• One year of current acute care RN experience or military RN experience.
