About The Position

BrightStar Care is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) who is intentionally seeking a long-term, part-time role with flexibility in the home care setting. This may be a great fit for a Registered Nurse who is retired, semi-retired, stepping away from full-time nursing, or simply looking for a flexible way to stay involved in nursing without the demands of a full-time position. This role is not a stepping stone to your next full-time position or a job to work around the demands of another full-time role. We're looking for an RN who genuinely wants the flexibility and longevity of part-time work and can become a consistent part of our clinical team. You won't be tied to a hospital floor, 12-hour shifts, or a traditional weekly schedule. Instead, you'll have the independence to work directly with clients and families in their homes while continuing to put your nursing experience to meaningful use. For the right RN, this can be an ideal next chapter in your nursing career — fewer hours, greater flexibility, meaningful client relationships, and the opportunity to continue doing what you do best.

Requirements

• Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; home care experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, documentation, and communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Current BLS certification and TB clearance
• Valid Nevada driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel to client homes throughout the Las Vegas/Henderson area
• Consistent daytime availability with occasional weekend flexibility
• Dependable and responsive to assessment requests
• Comfortable working in homes with pets
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings

Responsibilities

• Meet with new and existing clients in their homes
• Complete initial and ongoing nursing assessments
• Develop and update client plans of care
• Evaluate client needs and help determine appropriate home care services
• Communicate with clients, families, caregivers, and our clinical team
• Help ensure clients receive safe and appropriate care at home
• Complete required electronic documentation during each assessment
