About The Position

Axia Women's Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for OB Education to join their North Care Center in Indianapolis, IN. This is a 30-hour per week position with alternating days each week, and core hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The hired individual will be responsible for ensuring obstetrical patients receive high-quality care in accordance with current evidence-based guidelines. The role involves providing new OB education to enhance office efficiency and inform patients about pregnancy and office expectations. Key duties include familiarizing oneself with Axia's OB educational books, creating OB flowsheets, reviewing medical concerns with providers, discussing general OB education, explaining office functionality (hours, after-hours calls, provider call rotation), assisting with scheduling ultrasounds and appointments, and entering necessary lab orders. The position also involves educating patients on risks associated with pregnancy and genetic testing options.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Indiana or compact equivalent)
  • A degree from an accredited nursing program
  • A current Indiana certification as a Registered Nurse
  • CPR certification
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical facility, preferably in an OB/GYN setting.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all obstetrical patients receive high quality care following current evidence based guidelines.
  • Providing new OB education to increase office efficiency and provide patients with necessary education regarding pregnancy and office expectations.
  • Familiarizing with the content of all Axia's OB educational books.
  • Creating OB flowsheet.
  • Reviewing any medical concerns and consult with provider as necessary.
  • Reviewing general OB education.
  • Reviewing general office functionality including hours of operation, after hours calls, and provider call rotation.
  • Assisting and scheduling upcoming ultrasounds and appointments.
  • Entering necessary lab orders.
  • Educating on risks associated with pregnancy.
  • Educating on genetic testing.
