About The Position
Oneida Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for our Hospital OB Unit. This position is responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. You will supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff and report to the OB Nurse Manager. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team while treating patients with kindness and consideration.
Requirements
- Associate of Nursing (Required)
- New York RN (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)
- BLS (Preferred)
- Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Coordinating patient care
- Performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills
- Supervising LPNs and related support nursing staff
- Identifying patient needs and caring for them
- Working as a team player
- Keeping neat records and preparing reports in a timely manner
- Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for staff and patients in accordance with quality standards
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Having a customer service attitude when interacting with patients and families
- Using superb organizational skills when it comes to supplies and equipment
- Remaining calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations
- Demonstrating proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems
