The Big Rapids Family Birthing Center offers unique, family-centered maternity care with 11 private, cozy patient rooms designed to provide a homelike setting. The center is committed to professional excellence and delivering the best possible patient experience. It is equipped to stabilize and care for infants requiring specialized attention, utilizing advanced technology and a specially trained staff qualified to manage many infants with special needs. The hospital's top priority is protecting patients from preventable errors, injuries, and infections.
Requirements
- Associates in Nursing Required
- Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months
- CRT-Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification – 2yrs required
Responsibilities
- Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
- Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
- Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
