About The Position

At Troy Hospital, the clinical nurse uses the ANA scope of practice and the nursing process to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient- and family-centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader and in accordance with policies and procedures. This position is in the Staffing Office Float Pool at Troy Hospital.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s degree, or from an ACEN-accredited Diploma program.
• If not prepared at least at the BSN level, a new graduate or nurse with less than one year of experience must sign an educational contract upon hire and comply with its requirements: enroll in an accredited BSN program within one year of licensure and complete it within the following four years.
• Michigan State Registered Nurse (RN) license required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire through either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
