About The Position

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Internal Agency Nursing Pool. This full-time, benefit-eligible position is scheduled for 36 hours per week on nights, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The Internal Float Pool Nurse provides direct, comprehensive nursing care from patient admission through discharge and provides intermediate-level care across inpatient units as staffing needs require. The Internal Float Pool comprises experienced nurses who can work on any inpatient unit requiring additional staff. The House Managers allocate staff according to the hospital’s greatest needs. The nurse reports to a specific Supervisor who provides guidance when issues arise. Nurses must be competent in PCU and Neuro care; Critical Care and Emergency Department experience is welcomed. Requirements

Current Indiana or compact-state RN license.
BLS for Healthcare Providers required upon hire.
ACLS for Healthcare Providers required upon hire.
NIHSS certification required upon hire.
PALS for Healthcare Providers required within one year of hire.
At least two years of previous nursing experience, including recent acute-care nursing experience in a hospital setting.
Competency in PCU and Neuro care.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience providing intermediate-level care preferred.
Critical Care experience welcomed.
Emergency Department experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission through discharge.
Provide intermediate-level care to patients in various inpatient units according to staffing needs.
Work on inpatient units requiring additional staffing, with assignments allocated by House Managers.
Report to the assigned Supervisor for guidance when issues arise.
