About The Position

HCA HealthONE AirLife Critical Care Denver provides critical care transport services across a large rural area and the Denver metropolitan area, helping patients access specialized services and higher levels of care. The RN Flight Nurse Peds-Neonatal delivers critical and specialty care to neonatal and newborn patients during transport between medical facilities aboard fixed-wing aircraft, rotor-wing aircraft, and ground ambulances. The nurse works both autonomously and collaboratively, coordinating and documenting patient care with referral teams, physicians, AirLife team members, patients, and families while adhering to standards of care and scope of practice. The role also requires safe work habits, adherence to AirLife’s Commitment to Safety, and proficiency in flight physiology, aircraft and ambulance safety operations, and emergency procedures.

Requirements

• Colorado Registered Nursing license with a multistate compact designation.
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Current and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN.
• Three or more years of experience in a Level IV NICU.

Nice To Haves

• C-NPT certification preferred at time of hire; required within two years of hire.
• Transport experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver critical and specialty care to neonatal and newborn patients during transport between medical facilities.
