About The Position
The Nurse Extern performs routine duties within the limits of their training and certification while caring for hospitalized patients. Care is provided under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Depending on unit demands and needs, the Nurse Extern may be cross-trained to work as a Unit Secretary. The role also includes other duties related to the work described.
Requirements
- Completion of the first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program.
- Pass the NCLEX within 12 months after graduating.
- AHA BLS Certification.
Responsibilities
