About The Position

Aspire Rural Health System is hiring an RN - Emergency Department for the Hills and Dales ER in Cass City, Michigan. The role provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit, coordinates care planning with other disciplines, and oversees the successful delivery of quality patient care.

This is a casual position with coverage across days, nights, weekdays, and weekends. Shifts are 12 hours, either 6:30 AM–6:30 PM or 6:30 PM–6:30 AM. The nurse may provide care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Hold a current RN license in Michigan.
• Hold a current BLS certificate.
• ACLS is required; if not completed, it must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC is required; if not completed, it must be completed within 1 year of hire.
• Pass the Cardiac Rhythm Recognition exam within 3 months of hire; one retake is allowed. Alternatively, if unable to pass, complete DIMS or CAMMP (Dysrhythmia Interpretation and Management Course) within one year of hire.
• Have supportive interpersonal skills, be an active listener and effective communicator with patients, family members, medical staff, and hospital staff, and be able to work as a team member.
• Have basic clinical evaluation and assessment skills for all age groups of patients served by the facility.

Nice To Haves

• ENPC is preferred; PALS will also be considered. If not completed, it must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• Previous clinical or emergency room experience is preferred.
