About The Position
Sprenger Health Care is hiring an RN DON at Elms Retirement Village in Wellington, Ohio. Sprenger Health Care is a third-generation developer, owner, and operator of senior living communities and services in Ohio and South Carolina. Its services include long-term nursing care, assisted and independent living, memory care, hospice, home care, respite care, and short-term post-acute rehabilitation. The RN DON is responsible for developing nursing service objectives, practice standards, policies, and procedures; supervising resident care; and supporting individualized care planning and rehabilitation recommendations. The position offers a competitive wage based on experience and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse.
- Two years of experience in long-term care management.
Responsibilities
- Develop nursing service objectives, performance standards for each category of nursing personnel, and nursing policies and procedures.
- Direct, evaluate, and supervise resident care, initiating corrective action as necessary.
- Assess resident care needs and assist in developing individualized resident care plans.
- Assess residents’ needs and recommend special rehabilitation programs.
- Evaluate resident care in relation to individualized needs, family involvement, and the physician’s plan of care.
- Establish good public relations with hospital discharge coordinators and social service consultants.
