About The Position

The successful candidate will have a variety of duties, including directing, coordinating, and supervising the activities of all nursing staff engaged in a designated unit. This role holds authority, responsibility, and accountability for the overall management of residents in a designated unit, including transmitting staff concerns to appropriate supervisors and maintaining Resident Care Plans.

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing
• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required
• Must have a minimum of one year of experience in nursing service administration.
• Must possess knowledge of state, federal, and local long-term care regulations.
• Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
• Strong customer service skills and compassion

Nice To Haves

• Additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directing, coordinating, and supervising the activities of all nursing staff engaged in a designated unit
• Authority, responsibility, and accountability for the overall management of residents in a designated unit
• Responsible for transmitting each unit's staff concerns to the appropriate department supervisor.
• Maintenance of Resident Care Plans and the overall management of resident care
