About The Position

The ALSA Nurse Coordinator (ANC) provides leadership, management, and assessment support for the SALSA RN and assists in managing resident care services in the assisted living community. Management duties include supervising resident care assistants (RCAs) and LPNs, conducting resident assessments, and managing care as defined by the SALSA. The role includes conducting initial and ongoing nursing assessments; developing, implementing, and evaluating resident service plans; managing medications and physician orders; educating residents and families; coordinating care and maintaining continuity with other professionals; and documenting care accurately and promptly. The ANC also conducts supervisory visits, participates in educational programs and meetings, makes referrals and plans for changes in services, and ensures nursing services are available around the clock.
