About The Position

The RN Designee provides clinical leadership and oversight for residents in The McAuley’s Assisted Living and Independent Living community. The role supports residents in living confidently, safely, and with dignity while balancing clinical excellence with hospitality-focused, person-centered care. The RN Designee partners with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary teams; supports and develops nursing staff and caregivers; and serves as a key clinical resource for the community. The position participates in an on-call rotation, providing after-hours guidance to staff, supporting continuity of care, addressing urgent resident needs, and helping maintain smooth community operations.

Requirements

• Active Connecticut RN license.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience, including one year in home health, community-based care, assisted living, or a related setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation.
• Passion for serving older adults and supporting person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and support for Assisted Living and Independent Living residents.
• Partner with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional care and service.
• Oversee assessments, care planning, and regulatory compliance.
• Coach, mentor, and support nursing staff and caregivers.
• Promote a culture of resident-centered care, safety, and quality.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours guidance and support to staff.
• Help ensure continuity of care, address urgent resident needs, and maintain smooth community operations.
