About The Position

The RN Critical Care Clinical Educator is responsible for the mentorship and coaching of critical care nursing staff. This position serves as a clinical expert, role model, and resource in a designated critical care practice area. Works under general supervision as a registered nurse with specialized knowledge and skill in specific critical care areas of nursing and functions in a multifaceted role including clinical practice, educator, and consultant. Exhibits a high degree of professional competence in applying the nursing process. The RN Critical Care Clinical Educator addresses and meets the specific needs of the patient populations served.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum three years critical care experience at the bedside required.
  • Current registered nursing (RN) license or Temporary permit from the State of NE required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Five years of inpatient clinical experience in area or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Critical Care Certification preferred.
