The RN Clinical Supervisor - Ambulatory plays a key role in achieving quality and safety outcomes, developing clinical staff, and serving as a clinical lead. This role involves collaboration with the practice manager on hiring, coaching, training, and performance feedback. The supervisor will focus on talent retention through proper training and development, and work with nursing and practice leadership to improve clinical services and quality initiatives. Responsibilities also include assisting with patient rooming and triage as needed, and adhering to established quality principles and standards. This position requires rotation between offices on the east and north sides of Indianapolis.

Requirements

Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
3-years of medical office experience required.
Computer skills for documentation and work-related purposes are required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Demonstrates customer service skills to provide exceptional patient and family experience.
Able to maintain strong internal and patient/staff relations.
Accountable and self-directed.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
2-years clinical supervision or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Proactively works towards achieving quality and safety outcomes.
Assists with overall clinical staff development.
Serves as a clinical lead and resource to all clinical staff in collaboration with the practice manager.
Involves hiring, coaching, training, education, and providing feedback on performance evaluations.
Ensures retention of talent incorporating proper training and development of low performing staff.
Collaborates with nursing administration, practice leadership, and other administrative staff to create efficient clinical services, implement process improvements, and assist in quality initiatives.
Assists with rooming patients and triage as needed.
Adheres to established quality principles and standards.
