About The Position

Amedisys is seeking a registered nurse clinical manager to oversee home health clinical operations and patient care. The role is full-time and day shift. The manager is responsible for the quality of patient care and clinical performance of nurses and aides, and organizes clinical operations for the care center. The position also supports clinicians with patient goals and plans of care, evaluates patient needs, and may provide direct patient care infrequently in emergencies. The manager participates in on-call responsibilities and helps train staff to support quality, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current RN license specific to the state or states assigned.
• One year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• One year of RN management experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Recommend staff employment decisions to the director of operations, including hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or status changes.
• Oversee the overall quality of patient care and clinical performance of nurses and aides.
• Organize clinical operations for the care center.
• Review service requests and determine patient eligibility and suitability for home care services.
• Coordinate with intake on patient referrals and admissions.
• Oversee scheduling.
• Oversee payor verification and precertification requirements.
• Review staff documentation and ensure missing, incomplete, or untimely documentation issues are resolved.
• Assist clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term patient goals, setting priorities, and developing plans of care.
• Regularly evaluate patient needs and make necessary plan-of-care revisions in collaboration with clinicians.
• Provide direct patient care infrequently in emergency situations, as needed.
• Participate in the on-call process.
• Assist with staff training to ensure quality care, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
• Participate in investigating and resolving patient, family, and physician concerns.
