About The Position

This role involves conducting organizational needs assessments and performance gap analyses to determine training plans and knowledge management needs. The Clinical Educator will provide ongoing evaluation of educational programs using Kirkpatrick's evaluation levels to ensure learning and organizational outcomes are improved, benchmarking against best practices. Learning performance measures include operational excellence with optimal ROI, compliance with regulations, minimal time to competency, effective application of learning, and workforce development. The role requires designing learning based on adult learning principles, philosophies, styles, methodologies, and resources. Training delivery and mentoring new educators are key responsibilities. The position also ensures compliance with regulatory agencies through orientation and annual safety training.

Requirements

  • Minimal 3 years' experience in a hospital.
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices and systems.
  • Current SC RN license.
  • Current BCLS (within last 2 years).

Responsibilities

  • Conducts organizational needs assessments and performance gap analysis on an ongoing basis to determine training plans and knowledge management needs.
  • Provides ongoing evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of educational programs using the Kirkpatrick's evaluation levels ensuring that learning outcomes and organizational outcomes are improved.
  • Designs learning considering adult learning principles, adult learning philosophies, learning styles, methodologies, and resources needed to obtain effective outcomes.
  • Conducts training obtaining effective outcomes.
  • Mentors new educators.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies are met through the provision of orientation sessions and the annual safety training required for all employees.
