About The Position

The RN - Clinical Educator role involves conducting organizational needs assessments and performance gap analyses to determine training plans and knowledge management needs. This position is responsible for the ongoing evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of educational programs using Kirkpatrick's evaluation levels, ensuring learning and organizational outcomes are improved and benchmarked against best practices. The role also involves designing learning experiences based on adult learning principles and delivering training to achieve effective outcomes, including mentoring new educators. Additionally, the Clinical Educator ensures compliance with regulatory agency requirements through orientation and annual safety training.

Requirements

• Minimal 3 years' experience in a hospital setting.
• Current SC RN license.
• Current BCLS (within last 2 years).
• Knowledge of nursing principles, practices and systems.

Responsibilities

• Conducts organizational needs assessments and performance gap analysis on an ongoing basis to determine training plans and knowledge management needs.
• Provides ongoing evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of educational programs using Kirkpatrick's evaluation levels ensuring that learning outcomes and organizational outcomes are improved.
• Measures are benchmarked against best practice organizations.
• Designs learning considering adult learning principles, adult learning philosophies, learning styles, methodologies, and resources needed to obtain effective outcomes.
• Conducts training obtaining effective outcomes.
• Mentors new educators.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies are met through the provision of orientation sessions and the annual safety training required for all employees.
