About The Position

Provides direct line management and leadership for the Surgery Unit/O.R. Ensures appropriate standards are followed for nursing practice and serves as an interface between support services and clinical services. Facilitates the development and operation of the care delivery system, including staffing and professional delivery of services. The position is with the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with call.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current South Carolina RN licensure.
• BLS certification; accepted credentials include American Heart Association Basic Life Support or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification.
• Minimum of three years of medical practice/clinical management experience; other experience may be substituted in lieu of practice/clinical management.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday and take call.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Meet the listed physical, sensory, and functional requirements, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying specified weights, and maintaining corrected vision and hearing.
