RN Clinic - Per Diem - Radiology - Rancho Bernardo
About The Position
The RN Clinic position supports the Radiology department in Rancho Bernardo on a casual/per diem basis, generally working from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on varied days, including Saturdays, to cover staffing gaps. Hours vary as needed. Training is ideally full time for approximately two weeks, depending on availability and experience. The role assists with all imaging modalities, primarily MRI, mammography, and CT, and is divided approximately evenly between face-to-face patient care and administrative work. The RN provides care within the scope of practice, including assessments, triage, clinical procedures, emergency protocols, and medication administration. The nurse collaborates with the patient care team to provide an exceptional experience for patients and families. The department offers opportunities to expand skills, including potential work with advanced cardiac scans as equipment is upgraded.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or nursing diploma.
- California RN license.
- BLS certification required in a clinical setting.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Radiology experience.
- Familiarity with imaging.
Responsibilities
- Assist with imaging modalities, primarily MRI, mammography, and CT.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, including patient assessments, care tasks, triage, clinical procedures, emergency protocols, and medication administration.
- Balance face-to-face patient care with administrative duties, approximately 50/50.
- Collaborate with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Help ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
