About The Position

The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic exams using fixed diagnostic radiology equipment, portable X-ray equipment, and fluoroscopic equipment for patients across inpatient, emergency, surgery, SPU, and pain management units. The role serves as a resource and role model within the hospital and requires working both independently and as part of a team. Technologists may be scheduled for standby on a rotational or seniority basis to provide after-hours and holiday coverage based on departmental needs. This is a per diem position.

Requirements

• Minimum of an associate degree from an accredited radiology program; equivalent related experience may be considered instead of a degree.
• Must be ARRT registry eligible upon hire, have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and be registered with Washington State as an X-Ray Technician (XT).
• Acquire ARRT within six months of employment as a Radiologic Technologist I.
• Renew ARRT annually as required by Overlake Hospital and provide evidence through primary source verification.
• After obtaining ARRT, obtain Washington State Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification within three months.
• Renew the RT state license biannually as required by the Washington State Department of Health and Overlake Hospital, with evidence through primary source verification.
• Healthcare Provider-level CPR required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic exams using fixed diagnostic radiology equipment, portable X-ray equipment, and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Provide imaging services to patients across inpatient, emergency, surgery, SPU, and pain management units.
• Serve as a role model and resource to others in the hospital.
• Work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Participate in rotational or seniority-based standby scheduling for after-hours and holiday coverage as needed.
