About The Position

The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic exams using fixed diagnostic radiology equipment and portable X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment for patients across inpatient, emergency, surgery, SPU, and pain management units. The technologist serves as a role model and resource in the hospital, working both independently and as part of a team. The role may include rotational or seniority-based standby assignments for after-hours and holiday coverage to meet department needs.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent related experience from an accredited radiology program; equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must be ARRT registry eligible upon hire and have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registered with Washington State as an X-Ray Technician (XT).
• Acquire ARRT within six months of employment as a Radiologic Technologist I.
• Maintain annual ARRT renewal, with evidence verified through the primary source.
• After obtaining ARRT, obtain Washington State Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification within three months.
• Maintain biannual renewal of the Washington State RT license, with evidence verified through the primary source.
• Healthcare Provider-level CPR required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in rotational or seniority-based standby coverage after hours and on holidays, as scheduled.
