About The Position

St. Anthony Summit Hospital is a Level III trauma center recognized for patient experience and as a Top 100 Hospital. It offers a full range of medical specialties and health care services to the region, including emergency care, surgical services, critical care, and various specialized clinics. The hospital also operates emergency mountain clinics and primary care clinics in resort areas. The Registered Nurse Clinic team is looking for a dedicated professional to join them. In this role, the Clinic RN will utilize knowledge of community health concepts, ambulatory clinical nursing care, case management, and care coordination. They will be responsible for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patients/families. The RN will promote optimal patient health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process and adhere to patient care standards and the State Nurse Practice Act. A strong commitment to relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values is expected.

Requirements

  • One year experience preferred
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current state RN license/ Current RN license from a participating state in National Licensure Compact
  • Current BLS is required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN Preferred, encouraged to obtain within 3-years of assuming role
  • RNs Certification in Ambulatory Nursing through the AAACN, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Have the knowledge of community health concepts, principles of ambulatory clinical nursing care, case management and care coordination.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating and collaborating with the healthcare team and the patient/ family.
  • Utilizes best practice to maximize patient engagement and patient self-management efforts.
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission and core values.
