About The Position

The RN Clinic, Urology provides specialized nursing support for patients undergoing evaluation and treatment for a wide range of urologic conditions within a collaborative outpatient setting. This role performs focused clinical assessments, assists with in-clinic procedures, and coordinates diagnostic testing and follow-up care to support accurate diagnosis and effective symptom management. Working closely with urologists, imaging services, and ancillary departments, the RN helps ensure smooth patient flow, clear communication, and thorough patient education throughout the care experience. The position is part of a supportive, team-oriented clinic environment where collaboration and shared accountability contribute to safe, patient-centered care. Requirements

  • Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.
  • CPR required within orientation period.
  • Ongoing Point of Care certifications as required for department required within orientation period.
  • RN program as evidenced by licensure.
  • One year or more of professional nursing experience preferred.
  • Clinic experience preferred.
  • Coding experience preferred.
  • May include travel to satellites.
  • Computer use.
  • Trinity community clinics – draw and package lab tests.

  • BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform urology-focused assessments, administer ordered treatments, and assist providers with cystoscopy preparation, catheterizations, uroflow studies, and minor procedures.
  • Coordinate laboratory testing, imaging, referrals, and follow-up visits to ensure timely and comprehensive urologic evaluation and treatment.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, procedure findings, and education in the electronic health record in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Educate patients on procedures, medications, catheter care, hydration, lifestyle considerations, and symptom monitoring to support improved outcomes.
  • Collaborate with providers, schedulers, and interdisciplinary teams to respond to patient concerns, support complex care needs, and facilitate safe transitions across care settings.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, maintain competency in point-of-care testing, and complete required training to support urology-specific clinical practice.
